How PewSearch works as an optional distribution channel for your ChurchWiseAI products
PewSearch is an optional integration, not a requirement. Your ChurchWiseAI Voice Agent and Chatbot work perfectly without it. Think of PewSearch the same way you would think of any other partner directory — it is a place where people can discover your church, and it can surface your ChurchWiseAI chatbot if you choose to connect the two.
What PewSearch Is
PewSearch (pewsearch.com) is a free, searchable church directory with over 240,000 listings across the United States. People use it to find churches by location, denomination, or name. Every church in the directory has a free basic listing.
PewSearch is a separate product with its own subscription (Premium Page at $9.95/mo). It is not part of ChurchWiseAI and is not required to use any ChurchWiseAI product.
How PewSearch and ChurchWiseAI Relate
ChurchWiseAI is the standalone AI product brand. PewSearch is a distribution channel — one of the ways churches might discover ChurchWiseAI, but not the only way and certainly not a prerequisite. Here is how they can work together if you choose to use both:
- Discovery — People searching for churches in their area find your listing on PewSearch
- Chatbot on your listing — If you have both a PewSearch Premium Page and an active ChurchWiseAI chatbot subscription, your chatbot widget can appear on your PewSearch directory page automatically
- Follow-up — Visitors who find you on PewSearch and then call your church reach your ChurchWiseAI voice agent
You can use ChurchWiseAI without PewSearch, and you can use PewSearch without ChurchWiseAI. They are independent products that happen to complement each other.
PewSearch Premium Page ($9.95/mo)
Claiming and upgrading your PewSearch listing is entirely optional. If you do, the Premium Page gives you:
- Enhanced profile — Photos, detailed ministry descriptions, staff info, and your church's story
- Priority placement — Higher visibility in PewSearch search results
- Verified badge — Shows visitors your church has been claimed and is actively managed
- Chatbot widget — If you have a ChurchWiseAI Chatbot subscription, the widget appears on your PewSearch page automatically
- Better SEO — A richer, more detailed page that ranks better in search engines
The Premium Page is managed on PewSearch, not on ChurchWiseAI. If you have a Premium Page, you manage it through your PewSearch admin.
Claiming Your Listing
If you want to claim your church's free listing on PewSearch:
- Go to pewsearch.com and search for your church
- Find your listing and click Claim This Church
- Follow the onboarding steps (verify your identity, choose free or Premium)
- Once claimed, manage your listing through PewSearch
Claiming is free. The Premium Page upgrade is optional.
SEO Benefits
A claimed and active PewSearch listing can improve your church's visibility online:

You can subscribe to any combination, or just one. Canceling one does not affect the other.
Do I Need PewSearch?
No. If your church already has a strong online presence and people find you through your own website, Google, or word of mouth, you may not need a PewSearch listing at all. ChurchWiseAI Voice Agent and Chatbot are fully self-contained — you buy them at churchwiseai.com, manage them at churchwiseai.com/admin/[your-token], and they work on your own phone line and website regardless of whether you have a PewSearch listing.
PewSearch is there if you want the additional visibility of a church directory. Many churches find it helpful, but it is entirely your call.
