Widget Customizer

How to customize the look and feel of your chatbot widget to match your church's brand

The Widget Customizer lets you change the colors, position, and branding of your chatbot widget so it matches your church's website. Instead of a generic chat bubble, your visitors see a widget that feels like part of your site.

Where to Find It

Go to your admin dashboard → Settings tab → scroll to the Chatbot Settings section → Widget Customizer.

Widget Customizer is available on Chat Pro and Chat Suite plans.

What You Can Customize

Colors

  • Primary color — The main color of the widget header and send button. Pick a color that matches your church's brand or website theme.
  • Text color — The color of text in the widget header.

Colors are set using a color picker or by entering a hex code (e.g., #D4AF37 for gold).

Position

Choose where the widget appears on your website:

  • Bottom right (default) — The most common placement
  • Bottom left — If your site already has something in the bottom right corner
  • Top right — Useful for sites with bottom navigation bars
  • Top left — An alternative corner position

Branding

By default, the chatbot widget shows a small "Powered by ChurchWiseAI" badge at the bottom. This helps visitors know they are chatting with a trusted AI tool.

  • Starter and Pro plans — The badge is always shown
  • Suite plan — You can toggle the badge off for a fully white-labeled experience

Preview

As you make changes, a live preview shows you exactly what your widget will look like. This lets you experiment with colors and positioning before saving.

Saving Your Changes

Click Save when you are happy with your customizations. The changes take effect immediately on your embedded widget — no need to update any code on your website.

Tips

  • Match your website's color palette. The widget looks best when the primary color complements your site's design.
  • Test on mobile. The widget is responsive, but check that it does not overlap important content on smaller screens.
  • Keep the branding badge. Unless you are on the Suite plan and have a specific reason to remove it, the "Powered by ChurchWiseAI" badge builds trust with visitors.
