Terms of Service
Last Updated: March 9, 2026
1. Introduction
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of SermonWise AI (“the Service”), an AI-powered sermon outline generation platform operated by ChurchWiseAI LTD (“we,” “our,” or “ChurchWiseAI”), an Ontario, Canada corporation. The Service is available at sermonwise.ai.
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Service Description
SermonWise AI provides:
- AI-generated sermon outlines aligned to 17 theological traditions
- Sermon title generation
- Derivative content generation (small group discussion guides, children's sermons, social media posts)
- Sermon export (PDF, Word, text formats)
- Community sharing of sermon outlines
- Sermon storage and management dashboard
3. AI-Generated Content — Important Disclaimers
Please read this section carefully.
SermonWise AI generates content using artificial intelligence. This content requires your review and judgment before use in any ministry context.
- AI limitations: Sermon outlines, derivatives, and all other generated content are produced by AI and may contain inaccuracies, theological errors, misattributed quotes, incorrect Scripture references, or inappropriate content.
- Not a substitute for pastoral preparation: The Service is a tool to assist your sermon preparation. It is not a substitute for pastoral study, prayer, theological training, or the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
- Your responsibility: You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying all generated content before presenting it to your congregation or using it in any ministry context. You should confirm all Scripture references, theological claims, historical facts, and illustrations.
- Theological lens guidance: The 17 theological tradition system guides AI output toward your denomination's theology, but it does not guarantee denominational accuracy. AI models may produce content that does not perfectly align with your tradition's doctrinal positions.
- No liability for content: ChurchWiseAI is not liable for theological errors, doctrinal inaccuracies, factual mistakes, or any consequences arising from the use of AI-generated sermon content in any setting.
4. Content Ownership
- Your content: You own the sermon outlines, derivatives, and other content generated through the Service using your prompts. You may use, modify, publish, and distribute your generated sermons freely.
- Input content: You retain ownership of all prompts, Scripture selections, themes, and other input you provide to the Service.
- Our rights: You grant ChurchWiseAI a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display your content as necessary to provide the Service. We may also use anonymized and aggregated data (not identifiable to you or your church) to improve the Service, develop new features, and conduct research.
- No unique output guarantee: Because AI may generate similar content for similar prompts, we do not guarantee that your generated sermons are unique. Other users with similar inputs may receive similar outlines.
5. Community Sharing
When you choose to share a sermon to the SermonWise community, you grant other SermonWise users a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to view your shared sermon outline for personal ministry use. This does not transfer ownership of your content.
- Shared sermons may be viewed by other users but may not be copied, redistributed, or republished outside the Service without your permission
- You may remove shared sermons from the community at any time
- ChurchWiseAI reserves the right to remove shared content that violates these Terms
6. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service for lawful ministry, educational, and personal devotional purposes. You must not:
- Generate content that promotes hate, violence, or discrimination against any group
- Use the Service to produce deliberately misleading or harmful theological content
- Engage in automated bulk generation (scripting, bots, or API abuse) beyond normal personal use
- Attempt to circumvent usage limits, subscription tiers, or authentication systems
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute generated content as an AI sermon service
- Impersonate another user or misrepresent your affiliation
- Use the Service in any manner that could damage, disable, or impair the Service
Violation of these terms may result in suspension or termination of your account without refund.
