Faithful sermon and homily starters aligned to your tradition. SermonWise gives you a foundation; your pastoral process finishes the sermon.
SermonWise is a web app — no install, no download. Sign up at sermonwise.ai/signup with an email and password, or one-click with Google. You can choose your theological tradition during onboarding so your very first sermon starter reflects your church's doctrine.
Free gives you 2 sermon or homily starters per month with no credit card required — use it to see how it sounds before committing. Pro ($19.95/mo or $199.50/yr) gives you 15 outlines per month, a higher-tier model, the full tradition library (17), all sermon methods, and priority generation. There's a 14-day free trial on signup. Usage resets on the first of each month. Annual billing saves about 17% — pay for roughly 10 months, get 12.
In the app, click New Sermon. Enter your scripture passage, a working title (optional), and the audience you're preaching to. Pick your tradition (your default is set during onboarding; switch per sermon if you're guest preaching). Pick a sermon method (expository, topical, narrative, etc.). Click Generate — a typical outline takes 20–40 seconds. You'll see the main points, illustrations pulled from curated theological sources, a suggested closing application, and scripture cross-references. Edit inline — everything is yours to rework.
SermonWise injects your tradition's vocabulary, hermeneutic principles, and application style into every generation. It pulls illustrations and cross-references from a curated library of 290,000+ theological resources rather than making them up. If ChatGPT has ever given you a sermon that sounded vaguely Protestant-flat — that's the gap we fix.
SermonWise currently supports 17 traditions plus a broad-evangelical universal lens: Reformed, Baptist, Methodist, Lutheran, Anglican, Pentecostal, Catholic, Orthodox, Presbyterian, Church of Christ, Assemblies of God, Seventh-Day Adventist, AME, Mennonite, CMA, non-denominational, and a universal evangelical lens. Each tradition has its own vocabulary mappings, hermeneutic principles, and application patterns. We don't invent doctrine — we reflect what your tradition already says.
Click Manage Subscription in the app header (top right) to open the Stripe Customer Portal. From there you can: switch between monthly and annual, update your payment method, download past invoices, or cancel (effective at the end of your billing period).
Every charge triggers an automated receipt from Stripe to the email on your account. To pull a historical receipt, open the Stripe Customer Portal (Manage Subscription) and click the invoice line you need. Annual subscribers receive one receipt per year.
Retry once. If the second attempt also fails, the upstream model is usually at capacity — wait 2–3 minutes and try again. Your quota is only consumed on a successful generation, so a failure won't cost you a slot.
Start a Pro trial — 14 days free, cancel anytime. No charge until day 15.
Double-check the tradition dropdown on the generation form. The default is set during onboarding but can drift if you tested other traditions. If the tradition is right and the output still feels off, send us the sermon ID and the passage at hello@churchwiseai.com — we tune lenses against real examples.
